In the event, you have an event: COMMUNICATE with your parents as early as possible. I hope this is how you communicate, effectively, on a daily basis however; some of you work in early childhood centers and you do not see your parents/caregivers on a daily or even a weekly basis. At the end of the day, parents want to be involved and this may be their only way of relaying to you that they are aware of what is happening at school. Children as well as their caregivers need to know what to expect during school events, in house field trips and/or off-site field trips or just in general. Every child needs to be prepared and every parent needs to know details so that their child comes dressed appropriately, has everything they need for the day and so that you, as the primary educator/daytime caregiver, can enjoy your event/day as well.
I am inserting a copy of my September WOW letter on my "Purchase Pathways" link under the "More" tab at the top of the page (my template for back to school). Feel free to change it to fit your needs and ages but, out of courtesy, please refer inquiries back to the Pathways page.
