Struggle to plan for toddlers?

Are you struggling to find activities that captivate the younger than 2 crowd? This can be overwhelming and cause a real brain block for teachers of the "itty bitties"....Take a deep breath and, literally, think less. That is all there is to it. Toddlers need simple, quick and very basic activities to spark interest.

Consider using a story-bucket during your morning circle time. Include an item for every child to hold while you tell your story. Small plastic animals, a variety of textured materials, moveable and shakable parts and toys that relate to your theme. Use songs to coincide with your theme. As inspiration, get on your hands and knees and take a look around your classroom, literally, at a toddler's level. What can you do to invoke interest and curiosity in your classroom?

Share your ideas on great interactive toddler ideas!
